When my husband and I are away for work or on a trip we worry about leaving our house empty, so we have our housekeeper watch over it and do some cleaning while she is there. Everyone on our block does the same thing so it is pretty much the norm to have a housekeeper watch the house while you are away.

I don\’t think that our housekeeper would let anyone inside the house while we are gone but I still had a conversation with my husband to see if there was anything we could do to have peace of mind while we are away.

We looked on the internet and the found this online spy camera store. This would help us spy on our housekeeper while we were away, so we ordered it immediately. We decided on the Small Spot Light Hidden Camera with Built-In DVR.

The view angle is actually 120 degrees, giving us the perfect target spot. With this range of view we installed it so that it faced our main gate to the driveway and house giving us a perfect view of the front door of the house..

This hidden camera appears like an ordinary spotlight installed in our garden. It uses a 2.0 megapixel color digital camera to capture time and date stamped video when motion is detected.

The Small Spot Light Hidden Camera with Built-In DVR includes 8GB micro SD which can hold up to 5 hours of video footage and external micro SD slot card up to 32 GB so you can record all day and night.

As we watched every bit of the action recorded on the video, we found out that Sandy lets her friends freely walk in our garden. These ones are just from within the area, but there may come a time that she lets them in inside the house. This is definitely scary.

We had no choice but to fire her, she let people into the house when we specifically told her not to. Lucky for us we have a spy camera. Now when we hire someone else we can see if we can trust them first before we go out of town.

With the economy where it is at more and more families have both of the parents working. This is just the reality of the times and is neither wrong or right.

Working parents often feel guilty about leaving their children with a babysitter or nanny. The good news is that technology is perfectly able to cope with people’s evolving needs. A wall clock hidden spy camera is an ingenious way to monitor children indirectly.

With my DVR wall clock hidden spy camera that I have installed in my home I feel good about leaving my kids with the nanny while my husband and I are at work. It has a motion activated sensor that prevents me from watching hours of dead video showing nothing but the room it is located in.

I was worried about my pets setting off the motion sensor and that I would be watching hours of them running around the room, but this camera has a motion detection area masking that prevents the lower field of the camera vision to be set off.

In my field of work I see parents that give up their personal time all the time because they feel bad that they are missing out on their kids. This product can allows parents to have a couple of hours to themselves everyday.

Working parents don’t need to rush through the grocery store anymore, pass up on a conversation with friends, a workout or possibly a much needed romantic date night when they have the wall clock hidden spy camera around.

I can plug the wall clocks RCA cable into my television or put the 8GB card into my computer in order to watch what was recorded for the day. It is so easy and is supported by any video player that has NTSC/PAL system or MPEG4 format.

In order to get realistic expectations on babysitters I use this wall clock hidden spy camera with DVR. They’ll never know it is there though because it is a fully functioning clock.

If you are trying to find a great way to keep your family and home safe hidden cameras are a great idea. You may want answers for the questions you have been having. Is the nanny treating my kids properly? Where is all of my silverware going? Is someone stealing from me? Getting answers to these questions are among the benefits that hidden cameras offer.

Blending in hidden cameras with the environment and making them basically invisible is quite easy. Most people that visit your home would never guess that there are hidden cameras there. Everyone has perfect behavior when they are aware of cameras on them. You would not believe the things some people do when they believe no one will find out.

Hidden cameras or covert cameras usually come with no wires. This makes is a lot easier to hide them because you have no wires to keep hidden as well. They are also very small and can be hidden at a distance from the receiver without losing signal. They signal will send the picture to the receiver and then the screen.

A another option is to use what is called a DVR camera. They contain both the hidden camera and recorder in everyday items. This makes them very easy to use and there are no wires or signal loss to deal with. They generally record onto a SD card contained within the unit which can be removed and view on a computer. They can be set to only start recording when a motion is in front of them which saves on disk space. Some are even capable of 1 year standby time and record time to 20 hours on one battery charge.

Installing these covert cameras is simple because you can put them about any where. You can use a book, speakers, or even alarm clock to hide them in. The things you see everyday around your home would be perfect for housing one of these cameras. They can be hidden in almost anything because of how small they are, and know one would even suspect it. You do not even have wires to worry about hiding.

These cameras are wonderful to have in your home if you have children. You can keep a closer eye on your children without them knowing. You can be the nosy parents without them even knowing it. If you hire a babysitter or nanny to help out with your children, these cameras could tell you if the babysitter is mistreating your children.

Hidden cameras can even be useful at work. Use a computer speaker or a common looking tissue box with a built-in camera if someone is snooping through your things. These cameras have many benefits and the uses of hidden camera are endless. There is always a use and need for these cameras.

Theft can be a big problem. If you are dealing with this problem a hidden camera can be a great way to end it. You can see who is stealing from you and then call the cops. If you believe your spouse is being unfaithful you do not have to call a professional investigator to find out. Hidden cameras will do the trick. The benefits are endless when you use hidden cameras and I assure you it is not something you will regret buying.

It is not uncommon for someone to buy a hidden camera, set it up and then be unhappy with the results. All of that could have been avoided if the buyer took just a little bit of time and learned how to use it properly. You have to know what it can do, and what it cannot do, in order to get good results.

Before you buy a hidden camera you have to decide if you want to watch the video in real-time or at a later time. By answering this question you will first make sure you choose the right hidden camera for you. If you want to watch the video real-time you must get either a wired or wireless camera that sends the video signal to your monitor or TV. If you plan to watch it later you should consider using a hidden camera that records right onto an internal SD card. This permits you to take the SD card from the camera and plug it into your computer for viewing. The SD cards are great because they hold a ton of video and are so small.

Most hidden cameras that use an SD card to record are hidden inside an innocent looking common item found in any home. There are no wires or antennae visible. They are sometimes found in lamps, clock radios, air ionizers, calculators, clocks, you name it and there could be a hidden camera using an SD card to record inside it. These cameras are the easiest to set up and use. Now, you can get one of these cameras that can record in low light or no light at all! These cameras are truly “plug & play”.

A wired or wireless hidden camera requires different steps to set up. They usually require an external power supply. You either have to plug them into an electrical outlet or have a battery pack attached to it. If it is wired you will have a video “out” cable and a power cable or battery pack. That is a lot of wiring to try and hide. It can be done but takes a lot more work. If you have to plug it in try to place it as close to an outlet as possible so that you do not have to use an extension cord. That would look pretty obvious if you have an extension cord running across the room into a book that has a hidden camera inside!

Try to avoid buying a unit that has to be manually turned off and on. This will require you to put it in a location that you can get to easily when you want it to record. The other option is to get a camera that is either motion activated, sound activated or can be set to record at only certain times. This will permit you to initially turn the camera on and leave it that way. The camera will go into a stand-by mode until activated by sound or motion. Pretty convenient!

If your location permits, you can find it pretty easy to set up both wired and wireless hidden cameras. The wired camera needs to have a cable going right from the camera and right into your monitor. The wireless camera will need both a receiver and a transmitter. The transmitter is placed with the camera and a wire goes from the camera to the transmitter. Your receiver to receive the video transmission is placed at your monitor and you connect the receiver right into your TV or monitor.

When you purchase hidden cameras it is important to know how to use them so you don’t let your money go to waste. It is very common for people to purchase cameras and never use them or forget that the tape was too full months ago and stopped recording back then. This becomes a problem when you are burglarized but you don’t have the video to prove who did it and when.

That one video could have saved you a lot of trouble.
