If you are a gamer, you are behind the curve if you are using an old TV. So many people now have Nintendo Wiis and XBoxes and the world of online gaming is booming. One thing the Internet has done is to allow us to play games online with people all over the world. But what do you do if you are playing these multiplayer online games on an old TV?
Most players (including kids) are now playing on big flat screen TVs which make the games a ton more fun and make them easier as well. If you are playing on an old television, you are competing against others that have the best screens that make it much easier to see your surroundings and maneuver around the game. Someone playing on a small screen has hardly any chance of beating others who are playing on these new state of the art flat screens.
There are other reasons why you might be getting beaten in your online games and that involves the type of connection you have. If you are one of the few without the best connection speeds, the other players will all have a big advantage over you. Some players even have the latest FIOS connection that is fiber optic cable and that it hard to compete against.
Your television screen quality can also play a part. There is a new flat screen that has just come out on the market with LED backlighting and the picture from that screen is incredible. With or without HD, the new LED flat screens are gorgeous and give you the best clarity on the market. The clearer the picture, the better your chances are at doing well in the game.
Lastly, you could be playing against players that are decked out with the latest accessories and equipment. For instance, there are a variety of guns you can buy for the Wii that will allow you to aim more accurately and more easily. Someone who is playing the game with the normal controls against someone who is playing with one of these guns is at a disadvantage and might find it hard to do well. Unfortunately with online multiplayer games, between the differences in televisions, connection speeds, and accessories, all players are not on an equal playing field.
